Children marveled at hundreds of live butterflies ( from over 50 species ) fluttering around them at this cool outdoor conservatory at the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom. They found out facts like the lifespan of butterfly (3 weeks) and moth (7 days) only! Set within a rainforest, the free-flying butterflies and insect displays bring children closer to these fascinating creatures. They experience first hand how the metamorphosis of a butterfly occurs from eggs to caterpillar to pupa and then butterfly. Children were given the opportunity to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, and observing the environment and friends like the butterflies, birds, stick insect, monitor lizard and many others around them. What a discovery trip for them!
