KODOMO NO HI
Celebrating Japan’s Children’s Day, a joyful tribute to growth and happiness! Our childrencelebrated this special occasion that honors their happiness, health, and growth. To markthe day, they flew colorful koinobori (carp streamers), symbolizing strength andperseverance, and created vibrant koi fish art, samurai hats, and swords drawinginspiration from tales of bravery shared by our Japanese Sensei. The celebration was aheartwarming reminder of how strong, bright, and full of potential our children arebecoming. We’re so proud of each and every one of you — keep shining, children!
DRAGON BOAT / DUMPLING FESTIVAL
To welcome the Dragon Boat Festival, our children dove into a vibrant celebration of cultureand fun! We celebrated with crafts, cultural stories, and fun-filled activities. The childrenenjoyed the lively “Zong Zi” (rice dumpling) mass dance, played a ring toss game to collectdumplings, and played a teamwork relay race to simulate dragon boat paddling. They alsoexplored key festival words and created dragon , dumpling and chinese shan zi (fan) art —what a fun and meaningful way to connect with tradition!
K1 TERM 2 EXCURSION
One Man’s Trash, a Child’s Treasure! Our K1 children had an exciting May excursion to the Esplanade, where they watched Karung Guni Boy. This engaging and heartwarming show taught them valuable lessons about recycling, resourcefulness, and caring for the environment. Through the story, the children also discovered the importance of kindness, empathy, and how even small actions can create a big impact. It was a fun and inspiring experience that sparked their creativity and deepened their sense of responsibility toward the world around them.
K2 TERM 2 EXCURSION
Twist the knob, hear the magic! Our K2 students had a delightful and enriching visit to the Singapore Musical Box Museum! They explored the fascinating history of musical boxes, learned how these intricate instruments work, and discovered the importance of sound, music, and craftsmanship from the past. It was a melodious journey through time that sparked curiosity and joy. Through this experience, the children gained a deeper appreciation for the evolution of music playback devices, the artistry behind their creation, and the value of cultural heritage and innovation.
ST AND N1 TERM 2 EXCURSION
Wiggle, Weave, Wow! Our Smart Toddler and Nursery 1 children wriggled into the fascinating world of silkworms at Little Mori’s Silkworm Museum! They explored the silk-making process, observed the life cycle of silkworms—from tiny eggs to beautiful cocoons, and felt the soft textures of natural silk. This sensory-rich adventure sparked their curiosity, encouraged gentle hands-on interaction with living things, and introduced them to the wonders of transformation and care for the natural world.
N2 TERM 2 EXCURSION
Sprout, Splash, Discover! Our curious Nursery 2 children became little farmers for a day at Kok Fah Farm! Through hands-on, sensorial activities, they explored the world of vegetables, learned about hydroponic transplanting, and experienced farming up close. From helping to grow leafy greens to getting aloe vera gel being freshly extracted, every moment was a feast for the senses. They even brought home their very own micropotting creations—tiny reminders of their growing knowledge and care for the natural world.
